Frequently asked questions
What is the right seat height?
Higher than on an ordinary office chair: the hips sit clearly above the knees, the pelvis then tilts forward and the lumbar spine straightens by itself. Set a Capisco to the height of a normal chair and you will sit worse than before.
Which gas lift is the right one?
The gas lift sets the height, not the model. 150 mm for shorter people and low desks, 200 mm as standard (46–64 cm), 265 mm for standing desks, counters and workbenches — then with glides or braked castors and a step-up aid.
Are armrests available?
No. The Capisco is designed without armrests so that you can sit forwards, backwards and sideways. If you need armrests, you will find them on the HÅG SoFi, Creed, Futu and Tion.
What is the difference between the 8106 and the 8107?
The 8107 is the 8106 with a headrest — nothing else. On both, the seat height comes from the gas lift.
Up to what user weight?
110 kg permitted user weight, for use up to nine hours a day. The Capisco is not certified for round-the-clock shift work.
How long are spare parts available?
At least ten years from the date of manufacture — covers, gas lifts, castors, bases. Replacement covers we keep in stock.

HAG Capisco Puls in detail
The HÅG Capisco Puls is based on the legendary saddle chair (Saddle Chair™). Its development paid particular attention to the innate human urge to keep moving. And this is the result: an office chair made for people who work in a modern, dynamic environment. The HÅG Capisco Puls is an attractive, flexible office chair whose form, function and comfort are hard to match. Ground-breaking in design and a leader in environmental terms, this chair has the light, dynamic construction that the younger generation particularly appreciates.
Which Puls model is the right one?
The four models differ in two respects: whether they have a backrest, and how the seat is upholstered.
- 8001 — plastic saddle, without a backrest: a saddle stool
- 8002 — upholstered seat, without a backrest
- 8010 — plastic saddle with a seat cushion that lies on top, with a backrest
- 8020 — fully upholstered seat, with a backrest
In photographs you can tell the 8010 and the 8020 apart by the seat, not by the backrest — that looks the same on both.

Still have questions?
How high do you sit on a Puls?
That depends on the model, because the models come with different gas lifts as standard. With the respective standard lift:
- 8010 — 45–64 cm (200 mm)
- 8020 — 47–65 cm (200 mm)
- 8001 — 54–77 cm (265 mm)
- 8002 — 55–79 cm (265 mm)
The two stools stand high as supplied — intended for a standing desk, a counter or a workbench. The chairs with a backrest sit at normal desk height. Other lift lengths can be ordered for every model.
Is the Puls available as an ESD chair?
Yes, the 8001 and 8010 models are available as an ESD version — for electronics manufacturing, laboratories and workplaces with requirements for electrostatic dissipation. Flokk's conditions: price group 6 plus 10%, base and gas lift in silver only, always delivered assembled, five-year warranty. ESD versions are not listed in the shop — we configure them on request.
Dimensions and weight of the Puls models
Seat width 46 cm, seat depth 41 cm (40–44 cm when adjustable), backrest height adjustment 38–47 cm, base Ø 73 cm. Weights: 8010 11.4 kg, 8020 11.6 kg, and the stools 8001 7.4 kg and 8002 7.5 kg. Permitted user weight 110 kg for use of up to nine hours a day.
The plastic shell — nine colours, two of them recycled
Instead of an upholstered backrest the Puls has a plastic shell. It is available in nine colours; black and brown are made from recycled polypropylene. A practical advantage: the shell can be wiped down without damaging a cover — in laboratories, workshops and surgeries that is often the deciding argument.
