Your HÅG has many years left in it – even if one part has grown tired

An office chair is not finished because a cover is worn through or a gas lift no longer holds. HÅG keeps spare parts available for at least ten years from the date of production – and we order them for you. This page lists which parts exist, what they cost and how to work out which one fits your chair.

The replacement covers can now be ordered directly. 50 covers for Capisco, Capisco Puls, H03, H04, H05, SoFi, Creed, Conventio and Tion – you pick the price group of your fabric and enter the colour code.

If you are not sure which part fits, read the next section about the label underneath the seat first – or send us a photograph.

First: does the part fit your chair?

HÅG has changed its chairs over the years. A seat cover for a Capisco built in 2019 does not fit one built in 2001. That is why the first question with every spare-part order is always the same: when was your chair built?

It is printed on a label on the underside of the seat. Turn the chair over or tip it carefully onto its side – the model number and the date of production are there.

These cut-off dates matter on the Capisco range:

  • Back cover: only for chairs produced after 1 February 2005
  • Seat cover 8105 / 8106 / 8107: only for production after 31 October 2003
  • For older chairs the covers are no longer available – then the route is an upholsterer or a new chair.

If you are unsure, simply send us one photograph of the chair and one of the label. We will work out which part it is.

In stock and ready to order

We keep these parts and ship them straight away – no enquiry, no waiting.

HÅG replacement castors, set of 5
Universal castors for the base. The manufacturer supplies castors as a set only.

HÅG gas lift
Safety gas lift for the Capisco range and other HÅG models.

HÅG gas lift for HÅG Futu
A version of its own – the standard gas lift does not fit the Futu.

HÅG FootRing, Ø 450 mm
Foot ring for high seating positions. Can be fitted later and taken off again just as easily.

HÅG StepUp
Two extra levels for your feet, recommended for desk heights from 80 to 95 cm.

HÅG Quickstep
Tilting footrest that keeps the feet moving.

Gas lifts

It is the gas lift that sets the height range of your chair – not the model. A Capisco 8106 sits between 46 and 64 cm on the 200 mm lift, and between 55 and 80 cm on the 265 mm one. The easiest way to tell which one is in your chair is how high it will wind up.

Manufacturer's list prices, net plus VAT, as at 1 July 2026 – for orientation. Our own price is usually below them.

The 265 mm lift comes with conditions. HÅG releases the high gas lift only together with glides or braked castors and a step aid – StepUp, Quickstep or FootRing. Otherwise the chair stands too high to climb onto safely. Please allow for that if you are planning to convert a chair.

Change the gas lift yourself? Removing it needs a dismantling tool (HÅG order number 149146). We have one – you do not need to buy it. The seat mechanism itself should be opened by nobody: interfering with the mechanism voids the warranty. Talk to us before you reach for the pliers.

Castors and glides

The single most common mis-order: castors for the wrong floor. HÅG names its castors after the floor they are meant to run on – so you order „castors for hard floors“ if you have parquet, laminate or tiles, and „castors for soft floors“ for carpet. The reason behind it: the castor for a hard floor has a soft tread that runs quietly and spares the surface; the castor for carpet is hard, so that the chair moves through the pile at all. Anyone who goes by the material alone orders exactly the wrong way round.

Manufacturer's list prices, net plus VAT, as at 1 July 2026. Castors and glides are available as a set only – a set is five pieces. The Ø 50 mm castors do not fit HÅG Futu and HÅG SoFi, the Ø 65 mm ones do not fit HÅG Tion.

Castors are a wearing part – and floor protection. Hair, dust and grit settle on the tread and then work like sandpaper. HÅG points out expressly that the manufacturer is not liable for floor damage caused by neglected castors. Cleaning them once a quarter takes five minutes.

Replacement covers

A new cover turns a ten-year-old chair into a visually new one – at a fraction of the price. What it costs does not depend on the model but on the fabric you choose: HÅG sorts its covers into seven price groups. Xtreme is in group 1, Select in group 2, Capture and Oceanic in group 3, leather in group 7.

Order all covers directly – the order numbers below match the items in the shop.

The manufacturer does not take back covers ordered in error. It says so in the HÅG terms, and it is the reason we check once more before every cover order. Give us the model number and the date of production from the label – then nothing can go wrong.

How to order a spare part

Step 1

Photograph your chair and the label on the underside of the seat. The label carries the model number and the date of production.

Step 2

Send both pictures to support@hag-shop.com, together with your name, full address and telephone number.

Step 3

We check what is available for your model and year of manufacture and send you a quotation with a binding price and delivery time.

Why by e-mail only? Because we need the pictures to identify the part. On the telephone there is no way to settle whether your Capisco is from 2004 or from 2006 – and that is exactly what decides whether the cover still exists. We hope you understand.

One note on our own account: on spare-part enquiries we grant no advance-payment discount. Identifying the part, checking it and placing a single order with the manufacturer costs us noticeably more effort than shipping a chair from stock.

What you should know about spare parts and the warranty

  • Ten years of spare-part supply. For every part that preserves the original function, HÅG keeps a replacement available for at least ten years from the date of production.
  • Original parts only. If non-original spare parts are fitted, the HÅG warranty lapses. That applies above all to gas lifts and castors from the accessory trade.
  • Tighten the screws. The manufacturer recommends this expressly as regular maintenance – most creaking chairs are not repair cases at all.
  • There are no armrests for the Capisco. That is intended by design and not a gap in the spare-part programme. HÅG offers armrests for SoFi, Creed, Futu and Tion only.
