The mechanism is the same on every Capisco. What determines the price, and what you touch every day, is the cover. Here are all the fabrics and leathers we stock, side by side – with the figures from the manufacturers' data sheets.

Abrasion resistance in Martindale cycles to EN ISO 12947-2; on leather what counts is the grain, the thickness and the tanning.
How much abrasion resistance do you need?
Less than the figures suggest. From around 30,000 cycles upwards a cover counts as heavy-duty for office furniture – every fabric in the table is a multiple of that. The figure does not say whether a fabric will last, but how long it will look good before the seat and the edges start to show. Choose by hand, colour and care; only where several people use the chair in shifts is it worth reaching specifically for 200,000-cycle wool or leather.
The covers, briefly characterised
Xtreme – the toughest and least expensive cover in the range, and our best seller: recycled polyester crepe, hard-wearing, strong colours, EU Ecolabel and Oeko-Tex 100.
Select – the classic wool cover with a matt, quiet surface and a pleasant seating climate; the widest choice of colours.
Capture – the same wool as Select, but mottled with two yarn colours; it hides signs of use better.
Oceanic – a special edition in recycled polyester; according to Camira the SEAQUAL yarn is 90% plastic bottles and 10% marine plastic. Shades outside the standard range.
Cura Loop – a two-tone loop weave without flame-retardant chemicals, EU Ecolabel.
Leather – Elmosoft from Sweden (Scandinavian cattle hides), Paloma from Austria (Blue Angel, ECO2L), Antigo in addition. Leather works: it darkens at the points of contact and becomes softer. Anyone who wants an unchanging surface takes wool.
Comfort+ and Nexus – no longer in the current price list; what we offer is warehouse stock.
Fame – a special edition with the widest colour spectrum, finely combed new wool, pilling 4 out of 5. It belongs to the Extended collection – with consequences for the warranty.

On the 8106 the list range runs from €1,072 (PG 1) to €1,644 (PG 7) with the same mechanism, gas lift and base. Xtreme is at once the least expensive and the hardest-wearing cover – which is why it sells so well.

Always on condition of normal use up to nine hours a day and normal cleaning; wear is excluded. Replacement covers can be reordered individually – replacement covers.
