HÅG Capisco: what speaks for it – and what against
A chair this different does not suit everyone. We have been selling the Capisco since 2011 and have no interest in returns after four weeks. So here is both sides, plainly.

A seat-height range hardly any office chair has
46 to 64 cm with the standard gas lift, up to 80 cm with the long one. The Capisco follows a height-adjustable desk the whole way – from a low desk to a half-high standing position.
Many postures instead of one correct one
Forwards, backwards, high, low, leaning or free: the saddle and the inBalance mechanism allow the change without you adjusting anything. The change is the ergonomic core – not the one perfect position.
The pelvis settles by itself
In the upper part of the height range the pelvis tilts forward and the lumbar spine straightens. On a conventional office chair you have to do that actively – and you stop after twenty minutes.
Built to be repaired
Ten years' warranty, lifetime on the safety gas lift, spare parts for at least ten years from the date of production. Castors, gas lift and cover are replaced individually. A Capisco from 2015 can still be put right today – we supply the parts.
The price depends on the fabric
Between price group 1 and 7 there is around 570 € of list price on the 8106, and the mechanics are the same throughout. With Xtreme you get the least expensive and at the same time the toughest fabric.
A second sitting direction, free of charge
Astride, forearms on the backrest – at the screen, when drawing, at the workbench. After a few weeks you notice how often you sit like that.
Against
No armrests, in any version
The price list offers them only for the SoFi, Creed, Futu and Tion. On the Capisco this is a deliberate part of the design. Anyone used to armrests, or who needs them for health reasons, should not buy it.
Not for continuous operation
Warranty up to nine hours a day; the gas-lift warranty expressly not beyond that. For control rooms and multi-shift operation, chairs to BS 5459-2 apply – SoFi, Executive, Futu. The Capisco is not one of them, however well it would look there.
110 kg, not 150
The higher figure applies only to models tested to BS 5459-2. For more weight, talk to us rather than trying it out.
Getting used to it is real
One to two weeks in which unaccustomed muscles are working. Anyone unwilling to go through that will not be happy – and anyone who sets it too low will never find out what the chair was built for.
The high seat costs extra
Flokk only approves the 265 mm gas lift together with braked castors or glides and a step-up aid (StepUp 237 €, Quickstep 180 €, foot ring 162 € list price). That belongs in the calculation from the start.

Two misconceptions
“The Capisco is a saddle stool.” No. The stools are the Puls models 8001 and 8002 – without a backrest. The 8106 and 8107 have one, and it matters: as support in the high seat and as a rest when sitting the other way round.
“A good chair replaces movement.” It does not. The Capisco makes changing posture easy and invites you to get up, because from the high seat you are almost standing already. You still have to get up.
