HAG Sofi in detail
The HÅG SoFi is built for continuous use. It is one of only three HÅG chairs that are additionally tested to the British 24-hour standard. That makes it the chair for control rooms, shift work and any workplace that is manned around the clock.
What that means in practice
While most office chairs are tested to EN 1335 for eight hours a day and 110 kg, the SoFi is additionally tested to the British standard BS 5459-2 — which calls for more than eight hours of use and up to 150 kg. Within the HÅG range that applies only to the SoFi, the Executive and the Futu; the Capisco expressly does not belong to that group.
That makes the SoFi the chair for control rooms, shift work, a gatehouse or production monitoring — anywhere the same workplace is manned around the clock.

The models and what comes as standard
- SoFi mesh 7500 — mesh back, high backrest; mesh in five colours (black, grey, burgundy, dark blue, putty grey)
- SoFi 7200 — seat and back fully upholstered, medium-high backrest
- SoFi 7300 — seat and back fully upholstered, high backrest

Standard on all of them: the HÅG inBalance mechanism with freely flowing movement, an adjustable lumbar support, seat-depth adjustment, separately adjustable tilt resistance forwards and backwards which can be locked, an aluminium base Ø 73 cm and a gas lift with 150 mm of travel (seat height 39–54 cm). A headrest and height-adjustable armrests are available as accessories.

A different warranty applies in continuous use
The ten-year warranty applies to use of up to nine hours a day. In genuine 24/7 use it is five years — and only with a cover that is approved for it. The lifetime warranty on the gas lift also lapses above nine hours a day. That is not small print at the margin but the reason why you configure a chair for a control room differently from one for a single office: talk to us beforehand and the warranty will still hold afterwards.
Spare parts: the SoFi needs its own castors and its own gas lifts
Two things that regularly go wrong when ordering spare parts. First: the common HÅG castors Ø 50 mm do not fit the SoFi (and do not fit the Futu) — these two ranges have their own. Second, Flokk changed the gas lift on 31 October 2023: chairs up to that date have 165 mm of travel, newer ones 150 mm. Which one you need is given by the date of manufacture on the label underneath the seat. Send us a photograph of it and we will find the right part for you.
