In 1984 the Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik did not set out to build a more comfortable chair, but one that invites movement: the saddle seat and the backrest you can also sit against the other way round made the Capisco the most-built HÅG chair — still made in Norway today.
Frequently asked questions
What is the right seat height?
Higher than on an ordinary office chair: the hips sit clearly above the knees, the pelvis then tilts forward and the lumbar spine straightens by itself. Set a Capisco to the height of a normal chair and you will sit worse than before.
Which gas lift is the right one?
The gas lift sets the height, not the model. 150 mm for shorter people and low desks, 200 mm as standard (46–64 cm), 265 mm for standing desks, counters and workbenches — then with glides or braked castors and a step-up aid.
Are armrests available?
No. The Capisco is designed without armrests so that you can sit forwards, backwards and sideways. If you need armrests, you will find them on the HÅG SoFi, Creed, Futu and Tion.
What is the difference between the 8106 and the 8107?
The 8107 is the 8106 with a headrest — nothing else. On both, the seat height comes from the gas lift.
Up to what user weight?
110 kg permitted user weight, for use up to nine hours a day. The Capisco is not certified for round-the-clock shift work.
How long are spare parts available?
At least ten years from the date of manufacture — covers, gas lifts, castors, bases. Replacement covers we keep in stock.

★★★★★ 4,0 Happy with durability and design — Zufrieden mit Haltbarkeit und Design
I’ve been using this chair for two years now, and I’m really happy with its durability and design. My only minor complaint is the metal legs, which hurt whenever I bump into them Übersetzung aus dem Englischen: Ich nutze diesen Stuhl nun seit zwei Jahren und bin mit Haltbarkeit und Design sehr zufrieden. Mein einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt sind die Metallbeine — die tun weh, wenn man dagegenstößt.

Two points missing above
Dimensions, fabrics, seat heights and the difference from the 8106 are answered on this page. Two things are not:
The headrest is removable — and height-adjustable
It is not fixed in place: the headrest can be adjusted for height and taken off completely. If you only need it now and then — on the phone, when leaning back — take it off and you have an 8106 again. It is available in four versions in painted aluminium: silver, black, Blush Rose and Moss Grey. There is a separate spare part for the headrest cover (Flokk order number 108706), so it can still be refurbished years later.
What the headrest costs — and why there is no ESD version of the 8107
According to Flokk's price list the 8107 is €212 to €333 above the 8106, depending on the fabric group — that is the surcharge for the headrest, everything else is identical. What you pay with us is shown on the item; the amounts quoted are the manufacturer's list prices.
There is one restriction: Flokk does not offer the 8107 as an ESD version — within the Capisco range that applies only to the 8106 and the 8126. So anyone who needs an electrostatically dissipative chair for electronics manufacturing or a laboratory has to do without the headrest.
