The gas lift on the HÅG Capisco: lengths, seat heights, warranty, replacement
On a Capisco it is the gas lift that decides the seat height – not the model. Which length belongs to which workplace, what is required with the tall lift, and what to do if the chair sinks.

Figures measured with 64 kg; the Puls models and the 8105 are listed under dimensions and weights. As a special version there is a lift with only 66.5 mm of travel – silver only, with an aluminium base only, 11 € surcharge, and about a week longer to make. You choose the length directly in the configurator on every product page.
Requirements at 265 mm
Flokk only approves the tall lift with glides or braked castors – so the chair does not roll away as you climb on – and with a step-up aid: HÅG StepUp (237 € list price) or Quickstep (180 €). The GS mark applies expressly to that combination. In practice the Ø 450 mm foot ring (162 €) belongs with it, without which your feet find no purchase in the high seat. If you want to sit high, plan for it from the start.
The chair sinks
If the seat slowly lowers under load, the gas lift has failed – a wearing part that catches up with every swivel chair eventually. The good news: on all HÅG safety gas lifts supplied since 1 January 1996, Flokk gives a lifetime warranty, with normal use of at most nine hours a day.
What you should not do: open the seat mechanism or remove covers. A gas lift is under pressure; replacing it belongs in the hands of the specialist dealer or the Flokk service. And: the warranty is void if non-original spare parts are used – the universal part from the internet is the most expensive route.
