In 1984 the Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik did not set out to build a more comfortable chair, but one that invites movement: the saddle seat and the backrest you can also sit against the other way round made the Capisco the most-built HÅG chair — still made in Norway today.
Frequently asked questions
What is the right seat height?
Higher than on an ordinary office chair: the hips sit clearly above the knees, the pelvis then tilts forward and the lumbar spine straightens by itself. Set a Capisco to the height of a normal chair and you will sit worse than before.
Which gas lift is the right one?
The gas lift sets the height, not the model. 150 mm for shorter people and low desks, 200 mm as standard (46–64 cm), 265 mm for standing desks, counters and workbenches — then with glides or braked castors and a step-up aid.
Are armrests available?
No. The Capisco is designed without armrests so that you can sit forwards, backwards and sideways. If you need armrests, you will find them on the HÅG SoFi, Creed, Futu and Tion.
What is the difference between the 8106 and the 8107?
The 8107 is the 8106 with a headrest — nothing else. On both, the seat height comes from the gas lift.
Up to what user weight?
110 kg permitted user weight, for use up to nine hours a day. The Capisco is not certified for round-the-clock shift work.
How long are spare parts available?
At least ten years from the date of manufacture — covers, gas lifts, castors, bases. Replacement covers we keep in stock.

5,0 Von Schneeflugmarkierer zum Sitzmöbel
Ich nutze den Stuhl, der anscheinend aus recycelten Schneeflugmarkierern entstanden ist als Bürostuhl .. also ziemlich 9-5 an fünf Tagen in der Woche. Wenn ich nicht am Schreibtisch stehe (eher selten) dann sitze ich eben auf diesem Stuhl. Er federt, ist bequem und lässt sich vorwärts (als normaler Stuhl) oder rückwärts, also mit der Lehne vor der Brust (so wie auf einem Massagestuhl) nutzen, beide Sitzpositionen sind angenehm und bereiten auch bei längeren Sitzphasen keine Probleme. Die Mechanik ist für mich völlig unauffällig (im positiven Sinne) und funktioniert reibunslos. Ich würde dieses Model weiterempfehlen, und sollte das Ding mal sein weltliches Ende als Stuhl erleben, das gleiche Modell wieder kaufen - auf jeden Fall als recycelte Version!

Der Stuhl ist eine absolute Klasse für sich. Auch nach fast 10 Stunden am Tag macht es einem nichts aus auf dem Stuhl zu sitzen und das selbst bei dieser Variante (Puls 8010), wo nur ein geringer Teil der Sitzfläche gepolstert ist. Für Unentschlossen kann man nur sagen, dass der Stuhl in jedem Fall sein Geld wert ist. Wer es lieber etwas gepolstert mag sollte dann die Variante 8020 nehmen mit Sitzmatte. Und auch der HAG-Shop ist an dieser Stelle noch zu erwähnen. Das läuft alles super und reibungslos und macht Spaß dort einzukaufen.

5,0 Jeder Zeit wieder!
Ich nutze den Stuhl seit drei Jahren täglich mehrere Stunden lang. 0% Verschleiss! Nicht einmal Kratzer. Der weiße Kunststoff vergilbt erstaunlicherweise gar nicht und nutzt sich auch an den Stellen, die Schweiß abbekommen, nicht ab. Meine vorherigen Stühle habe ich binnen 1 bis 2 Jahre durch die tägliche Nutzung zerstört. Der hier ist nach drei jahren wie an Tag eins! Und für meinen Rücken ist das vermutlich der beste Stuhl, den ich für Geld kaufen kann. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Obwohl der Stuhl sehr minimalistisch gestaltet ist, lädt er sofort dazu ein, sich hinzusetzen und lange darauf sitzen zu bleiben. Wenn man müde wird, kann man den Stuhl um 180 Grad drehen und erhält so eine alternative, entspanntere Sitzposition mit Armauflage, um weiterhin komfortabel arbeiten zu können. Kurz gesagt: einfach top. Ich werde meinen Stuhl nicht mehr wechseln.

Keine Eingewöhnung nötig, da wir bereits mehrere Capisto Stühle seit Jahren (ca. 15+) im Büro haben. Stühle sind sehr bequem und unterstützen verschiedene Sitz und Stehpositionen. Der perfekt Stuhl für das Büro, praktisch ohne Verschleiß.

HAG Capisco Puls 8010 in detail
The HÅG Capisco Puls belongs to Peter Opsvik's saddle-seat range. It was developed for constant movement at the workplace rather than for sitting still.
The Puls 8010 has the plastic saddle of the 8001 stool, with a backrest added. A small seat cushion can be laid on the seat.
The four Puls models at a glance: 8001 and 8002 are stools without a backrest; 8010 and 8020 have the same seat and a backrest as well. Within each pair the saddle is either plastic (8001 / 8010) or upholstered (8002 / 8020).
Colours: The shell comes in nine plastic colours, the frame in six finishes. The white frame is standard.
Configuration: You choose the base, gas lift and castors directly on the product.

The 8010 is available as an ESD chair
Within the Puls range, only the 8010 and the 8001 stool are available in an ESD version — the upholstered 8020 is not. For electronics manufacturing, laboratories, clean rooms and any workplace with requirements for electrostatic dissipation, the 8010 is therefore the only Puls model with a backrest that qualifies. Flokk's conditions: price group 6 plus 10 %, base and gas lift in silver only, always delivered assembled, five years' warranty. ESD versions are not listed in the shop — we configure them on request.
The plastic saddle can simply be wiped down
Instead of an upholstered seat, the 8010 has a plastic saddle with a small seat cushion inserted into it. In a workshop, a laboratory, a surgery or a hair salon that is often the deciding argument: the seat takes a damp cloth without any cover suffering — and the insert can be taken out or left off altogether. If you prefer upholstery across the whole seat, the 8020 is the one, with identical mechanics and the same back shell.
Why the same chair costs different amounts
Because the cover of the seat cushion sets the price, not the mechanics. The mechanism, shell, base, gas lift and every adjustment range are identical on every Puls 8010 — the price groups differ in the material alone. Since only the cushion insert is covered on the 8010, the difference is smaller here than on the fully upholstered 8020. If you economise on the cover, you get technically the same chair.
